Mike and Theresa Pokorski made it from Kalamazoo first. They were already at the lodge with 3 teenage girls, Kerri and Jennifer (goddaughter) and Meike, an exchange student from Germany. They had dinner waiting.
After dinner, everyone at the lodge cut 1,000 streamers. Aunt Cheryl issued a challenge to see who could cut the most ribbon the fastest. (We knew what she was up to, but we speeded up anyway.)
Oh, yeah. The streamers were for the 1,000 balloons. Filling them with helium, attaching streamers, and hanging snowflakes from them took most of the next day.
